Social Media Coordinator (Hybrid)

Position Overview
The Social Media Coordinator provides content scheduling, publishing, and administrative support services for The D5 Group’s digital and social media platforms in an independent contractor capacity. The role supports the execution of pre-approved content only, basic activity tracking, and platform maintenance.
This role does not involve strategy development, independent messaging decisions, public representation, or discretionary brand management. All final decisions remain with the CEO.
Scope and Limitations of Authority
This engagement is strictly limited. The Social Media Coordinator:
- Does not develop or determine brand voice, messaging strategy, or campaign direction
- Does not create, modify, or publish content without prior approval
- Does not respond to public comments, media inquiries, or direct messages unless explicitly authorized in writing
- Does not act as a spokesperson or representative of the organization
- Has no authority to bind, obligate, or commit the company
- Does not supervise employees, contractors, or contributors
- Performs services under defined instructions, with all final authority retained by the CEO
Core Administrative Responsibilities
- Schedule and publish approved social media content on designated platforms
- Maintain content calendars, posting logs, and publication records
- Upload captions, graphics, links, and hashtags as provided or approved
- Organize digital content files and assets according to company protocols
- Coordinate receipt of finalized content from internal staff or approved vendors
Compliance and Platform Support Responsibilities
- Follow platform rules and internal content approval protocols
- Track basic activity metrics (e.g., post dates, reach, engagement counts) as instructed
- Maintain organized records to support reporting, audit, or grant documentation when applicable
- Flag errors, access issues, or platform concerns to the CEO
- Refrain from unsanctioned edits, deletions, or responses
Deliverables and Performance Expectations
- Timely scheduling and posting of approved content
- Accurate maintenance of content calendars and posting logs
- Consistent adherence to approval workflows and authority limitations
- Prompt communication regarding issues affecting scheduled content
- Professional execution of assigned tasks within scope
Required Qualifications
- Experience supporting social media accounts in a coordination or administrative capacity
- Familiarity with common social media platforms and scheduling tools
- Strong attention to detail and file organization
- Clear written communication skills
- Ability to follow structured instructions and approval requirements
- Ability to attend occasional, pre-approved in-person assignments
Work Structure and Engagement Terms
- Hybrid, part-time role; hours vary based on content schedule and operational needs
- Engagement may be at-will or fixed-term, depending on business needs
- No guaranteed hours
- Work is primarily remote; in-person work is limited and pre-approved
- Schedule may vary week to week

Compensation is determined by the terms of the applicable engagement agreement. This position does not guarantee hours, continued engagement, or future employment. The role is limited to non-discretionary support functions and is structured to comply with applicable labor, wage, and public-sector communications requirements. The D5 Group reserves the right to modify or discontinue the role in accordance with applicable law.
