Police + Community Trust Initiative
Facing the past. Building trust. Moving forward.
PROJECT OVERVIEW
Initiated by the Office of the Mayor, the Police and Community Trust Initiative is a city-led campaign to acknowledge past actions, address historical grievances and mistrust, and improve transparency.
- The strategy was established through advanced research, Steering Committee meetings, and engagement with partners.
- A citywide climate survey with more than 800 responses recorded resident sentiment and gave people a voice.
- We identified key audiences and set clear messages and channels for each.
