Police + Community Trust Initiative

Facing the past. Building trust. Moving forward.

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Initiated by the Office of the Mayor, the Police and Community Trust Initiative is a city-led campaign to acknowledge past actions, address historical grievances and mistrust, and improve transparency.

  • The strategy was established through advanced research, Steering Committee meetings, and engagement with partners.

  • A citywide climate survey with more than 800 responses recorded resident sentiment and gave people a voice.

  • We identified key audiences and set clear messages and channels for each.

Campaign Theme:

Where we were. Where we are. Where we're going.
